Vestibular Rehabilitation in Abbotsford
Vestibular Rehabilitation Treatment is also known as balance retraining therapy. If a person is suffering from balance disorders and dizziness or vertigo vestibular therapy can be a good option for him. In vestibular therapy, we focus on inner ear issues that impact the body’s balance. If you are feeling dizziness or vertigo, it can affect your daily life. It can make it difficult for you to perform even the simplest daily tasks without feeling as if you might fall over.
Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy is an
exercise-based program. It helps in re-training the central nervous system for
inner ear deficits.
At Hillcrest Physiotherapy Clinic, we provide vestibular
therapy for our patients suffering from balance disorders in Abbotsford. We work with patients to redirect their brains so that they can
coordinate information in a better way from their inner ear balance organs,
their eyes, and their proprioceptive system. After a thorough assessment, a
customized program is planned based on each patient’s issues.
Some common balance disorders that
we treat through vestibular therapy include Migraines,
Meniere’s disease, Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Vestibular
neuritis and stroke.
